20 for 20?

Good to know my USSF mole is legit.

The only real omission is Kelley O’Hara but it goes back to the numbers game – taking 6 defenders and 8 midfielders doesn’t make sense. She’ll get her chance though.

It’s great to see that Becky Sauerbrunn has gotten the call-up. It will be even better if she plays.

Here’s US Soccer’s press release.

Good news for Alex Morgan, bad news for Cal. It would be interesting to get Cal head coach Neil McGuire’s perspective. Cal relies significantly on Morgan and without her, I think Cal is in danger of losing their NCAA bid, let alone being a real contender.

Cal has seven matches left in the regular season.

Arizona, Oregon, and Washington State are must wins.

I don’t think anyone’s expecting them to beat Stanford.

So the big matches are against Arizona State, Washington, and Oregon State. As long as they beat the first three listed above, I think they could be OK with four points from the above three.
