As you can see, Midwest Hurricane FC only survives as a previous round winner. We’ll cut down to fifty teams + round winners after Round Twelve in a month or so.

As for me, I was #28 overall last week, good enough to bump me up to #3 overall on the season. There’ll be a lot of teams beating on Seattle, Washington, and Chicago this round. I suspect a lot of teams will be captaining Crystal Dunn, which leaves room for those going against the grain to potentially make up ground. Then again, why overthink it when Dunn has been tearing it up lately and has a great matchup?

GK

Kopmeyer (SEA) – A no-brainer. At home facing the league’s worst team. Seattle D hasn’t been great but still best option by far.

Dalton (CHI) – Kind of a tough matchup on the road, but you still fancy Chicago to take it and keep chances to a minimum against WNY’s spotty offense.

Wys (WSH) – Spirit great offensively, not so great defensively. Also facing a Boston side growing in confidence, so I wouldn’t.

Henninger (HOU) – Her back four worries me, but Portland’s offense is semi-disastrous at the moment.

DEF

Fletcher (SEA) – Not rocket science. Best scoring defender on team with best matchup, though Barnes and Cox also are good contrarian picks.

Hemmings (CHI) – Scoring an absurd 6.29 points a match as a defender. She absolutely has to be in your team.

Gilliland (CHI) – A secondary option if you fancy Chicago’s defense a lot.

Cross (HOU) – Portland’s attack has been all over the shop as of late, but I still don’t really trust Houston’s defense.

Hinkle (WNY) – If you think Chicago’s going to throw up an overdue stinker, Hinkle’s the best of the lot for WNY.

King/Kallman (BOS) – I’m no longer concerned about picking Boston defenders this season. I am concerned about picking them this round against the Spirit’s offense.

MF

Dunn (WSH) – My captain. Your captain. Everyone’s captain.

K. Mewis (BOS) – Wait. Has anyone actually been paying attention to her fantasy season? She has SIXTEEN shots on goal and is averaging 9.07 points a match. That’s stunning, and she should be in your team.

Fishlock (SEA) – Back from suspension and probably eager to impress against a weak SBFC side.

Nairn (WSH) – Second option here but difficult to not keep rolling with her.

DiBernardo (CHI) – Steady but unspectacular as a fantasy producer with a relatively good matchup this round.

Little (SEA) – Still waiting for that breakout round. If not now, when?

Shim (POR) – Looks like a stronger option than Long at this point, though the Thorns aren’t exactly consistent these days.

Freels (SBFC) – She’s averaging nearly six points a game on a dreadful team. But this isn’t the round for her.

S. Mewis (WNY) – Quietly averaging 5.5 points, but the matchup this round is a nightmare.

Axon (HOU) – A marginal option, even at home with a solid matchup.

Johnson (POR) – A not bad secondary option, but the matchup is still shaky.

Long (POR) – Anonma’s arrival has really cut into her value, as the offense really isn’t going through her any more.

FW

Yanez (SEA) – Another no-brainer. Also a sleeper option for captain.

Huerta (CHI) – Kept at bay last round. Don’t count on it happening again.

McDonald (HOU) – Probably wants to keep scoring against former club and will fancy doing it again given Portland’s form.

McCaffrey (BOS) – Spirit defense continues to get razed by opponents, so feel free to use her this round.

Ohai (HOU) – Solid option if you don’t buy into McDonald for the Dash.

Anonma (POR) – Signs of life last round, but there are better options this time out.

Mathias (SEA) – You could do far worse than doubling up with Reign forwards.

Williams (WNY) – Shoots early, shoots often, but faces an unenviable matchup.

Del Rio (WSH) – Not quite washed up yet, but still hard to trust with better options.

Nadim (SBFC) – For the truly brave only.
